All students would have received an email distributed by Laurel Hogan on behalf of Natasha Horvat - Vice President (Education), asking for interested persons to apply. Contract Tutorials - April

Want to gain a competitive 'edge' in Contract law? Want a tutorial specifically structured for exam preparation and revision? Then attend the Victoria University Law Students Society's tutorials, commencing Early Semester 1 at CQ campus.

Tutorials will be conducted by members of the VULSS Executive Committee and are open to all VULSS member students enrolled in Contracts 1. We suggest that you start your attendance as soon as possible.

Please note that LSS tutorials are only intended to supplement your private study and lectures. They should not be relied on independently or seen as a replacement to the official lectures.

The structure of the tutorials is as follows

1. Introduction to contracts 1

2. How do study law primer

2.1 Books to use & why Text books 'Cheat notes' Sample answers Exam questions

2.2 How to write a case summary: what's important and why Case name Principle/Authority for proposition Facts Issues (optional) Held

2.3 Using principles/citations in essays/exam answers Importance ALWAYS using authority for any propositions Examples Model case answer and group exercises

3. Elements of a contract

3.1 Introduce formally the necessary the elements of contract Give authorities for each element

4. Conclude with revision sheet/summary exercise.
