This week is Election Week! Vote before 29 August 2008
Voting box in the library
Every member is entitled 1 vote, as long as they signed up as a VULSS member before 18 August 2008.
Many candidates have nominated for more than one position on the committee and you will see this on the ballot paper. You may vote the same candidate for all positions as ultimately that candidate will be elected into the position that he (she) chose as in their preference order.
For example, if Geoff nominated to be Competitions Officer as his first preference and Liaison Officer as his second preference, and he succeeded in both positions. Geoff will be awarded Competitions Officer, and the liaison officer will go to the next popular candidate.
Nominations received by the secretary (who acts as the returning officer as known in other Incorporated Associations), in aphabetical order, are posted on the Committee page.
Law Ball 2008
Thanks to everyone for attending what was one of the best law balls ever!! It was a fantastic night filled with great food, drinks, music and lots of dancing!!! The VULSS hopes you all had lots of fun, met new people and had a great evening. We would like to thank our sponsors in particular Clayton Utz and also Baker & McKenzie, DLA Phillips Fox, Mallesons and the VU staff for their support. Finally a big thanks to the committee for all their effort and hard work!!!
Call for Nominations - 2009 Committee - August
This is a call for nominations to join the VULSS Committee in 2009. Nominations close 1700hrs on 22 August 2008. This is a correction to the date printed on the nomination form.

Relaunch BBQ - July
The committee has decided not to put on the Relaunch BBQ but rather focus our efforts towards hosting a great Law Ball for our members. The 2008 VULSS Law Ball - In Black and White - is shaping up to be a fantastic event and we encourage all our members and their guests to attend.
Pizza Day - May
The Law Ball Pizza Day was not our most successful event put on this year. Our shortcommings brough about great discussion within the committee and we have planned to make it up to members with a 'Relaunch BBQ'.
